Thank you very much for the tutorial. it was very helpful.
Excellent tutorial, thank you!
Hey thanks for doing this video, i think its exactly what i need but i have a few questions. I’m a newbie web designer and i maintain 5 different wordpress blogs for my clients. Each site has a different domain and different host. When i update online it so slow and it a pain in the ass at times. It would be so much easier if i could work out a way to work on all my sites locally and when i was happy send them live. Whats the best way to do this for numerous sites?
Thanks for your help. Oh and Happy Christmas, you have a great and useful site.
Thank you! If you are talking about modifying the core php files, you could do that locally for each site, then upload the changes. You would need to have a separate local site installed on your machine for each of the online sites. You could access them all simultaneously with mamp running. If you are talking about modifying your themes, then that would work the same way- edit and tweak locally, then upload the changes. If you want more advice (from the true pros) on this, I would try checking out the wordpress and mamp forum communities. They are great resources!
